Kinguin Names New CMO to Lead a Year of Innovation. Giovanni Varriale takes the reins for all marketing at Kinguin
After running Team Kinguin for a year, Giovanni (Gio) Varriale returns to Kinguin as Chief Marketing Officer. Gio brings with him six years of experience with Kinguin marketing prior to running the Team. While with Team Kinguin, he helped secure partnerships with Razer and Sanofi. His replacement at Team Kinguin will be named shortly.
“Gio understands Kinguin and our market better than anybody,” said Kinguin CEO Viktor Romaniuk Wanli. “He sees where we are headed and has some innovative plans to take us back to a market leadership position. His passion and understanding of the industry will help Kinguin enhance the experience for gamers in new and innovative ways.”
Giovanni has been part of the marketing leadership team for the past 7 months, helping guide programs and messaging for the company and marketplace. He has also been instrumental in developing some new programs that will come to market throughout 2019 and 2020.
“I am excited to return to marketing, which is where I belong,” said Gio. “I am looking forward to creating new programs and ways of working that will make the company more efficient and profitable.”
Giovanni came to Kinguin early in his career. A native of Naples, Italy, he is an avid gamer who loves strategy games of all kinds — console, computer, and board games. Gio will be based in the Warsaw office.
